PPKM Mikro and What are the Key Rules for Business

The Minister of Home Affairs, Tito Karnavian, has issued Minister of Home Affairs Instruction No. 3 of 2021 which regulates the Enforcement of Restrictions on Micro-Based Community Activities (PPKM Micro Scale) in parts of Java and Bali. PPKM Mikro is effective from 9 to 22 February 2021. Below are the important points that we have summarized.

 

Covid 19 Prevention Approach with PPKM Mikro

  • - Coordination up to the RT, RW, Kelurahan, and Village level by taking into account the parameters of the number of people, locations infected with Covid 19.

  • - Establishment of a post for coordination, supervision, and evaluation of the implementation of Micro PPKM in terms of prevention, handling, guidance, and support for handling Covid 19 cases at the kelurahan and village levels

  • - Case handling procedures are through tracing of suspected covid 19 and people who have close contact with the suspect, independent monitoring of isolation for patients and people who are in close contact

 

Regulation that shall comply by businesses

  • - Limiting workplaces to work from office by 50% and work from home by 50% and stricter health protocols

  • - Essential sectors such as the health sector, foodstuffs, food and beverage, energy, communications, information technology, finance, banking, payment systems, capital markets, logistics, hospitality, construction, strategic industries, basic services, public utilities, and industries designated as objects national vital and specific objects, daily needs related to the basic needs of the people, can operate 100% with more stringent regulations on operating hours, capacities, health protocols.

  • - Food and drink activities in a place with a capacity of 50%

  • - Take-away meal service is allowed according to restaurant operating hours

  • - Stricter application of health protocols

 

Provisions for shopping centers and malls

Limitation of operating hours for shopping centers or malls to 21.00 hours with stricter health protocols.

 

Construction Activities

 Construction activities can operate 100% with stricter health protocols.
